Bin Wang

Director of the AI Lab, Technical Committee of Xiaomi Group

Dr. Bin Wang is the Director of the AI Lab under the Technical Committee at Xiaomi Group, an Executive Director of the Chinese Information Processing Society of China (CIPS), a Board Member of the China Computer Federation (CCF), and Vice Chairman of the Beijing Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance. He earned his Ph.D. from the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he later conducted research in natural language processing (NLP) and information retrieval as a Research Fellow and Ph.D. supervisor. In 2018, he joined Xiaomi and has since served as Chief Scientist for NLP, Director of the AI Lab, and Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Technical Committee. He has been fully responsible for the R\&D and deployment of AI technologies at Xiaomi, including computer vision, acoustics, speech, NLP, knowledge graphs, machine learning, and large language models. Currently, he focuses on next-generation AI architectures, AI for Science, and AI for Industry, driving fundamental, interdisciplinary, and cutting-edge technologies for Xiaomi’s core businesses.
